OpenSourceCRMs.com ("we", "us") is a free directory of open source CRM software. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, why, and what choices you have. You do not need an account to browse the site.

Information we collect

• Usage data. Pages viewed, time on page, referring site, browser, device type, operating system and approximate location (country or city) collected through Google Analytics. We enable IP anonymization.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical data such as IP address, requested URL and user agent for security and troubleshooting.
• Contact form. If you write to us, we receive your name, email address, subject and message.
• CRM submissions. If you suggest a CRM, we receive the project name, description, link and your email address for follow-up.

How we use information

• To operate, secure and improve the website and its content.
• To understand which pages are useful, using aggregated analytics.
• To reply to messages and review CRM suggestions.
• To show advertising if and when we enable it (see below).

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies from Google Analytics to measure traffic. If we enable Google AdSense, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted. Affiliate links

Some links lead to hosting providers through affiliate programs. When you click one, the provider may set cookies or use a referral code to attribute a purchase to us. We do not receive your payment details or personal information from the provider. See our affiliate disclosure.

Third-party services

We use Google Analytics and, in the future, possibly Google AdSense. We load fonts, icons and styling libraries from content delivery networks (such as cdnjs and the Tailwind CDN), which receive your IP address when your browser requests those files. These providers handle data under their own privacy policies. Our pages link to external sites such as GitHub and project websites, which we do not control.

Legal bases and sharing

Where laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on legitimate interests (running and securing the site, aggregated analytics), consent (cookies for analytics and advertising where required) and your request (when you contact us). We share data only with service providers that help us run the site, or when required by law.

Retention

Messages and submissions are kept for as long as needed to respond and for reasonable record-keeping, then deleted. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings.
